August 18, 2018

To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to give a letter of recommendation to Erin Rigby. Our firm, Selbert Perkins Design, hired Erin as an intern for our Los Angeles office from May 7, 2018 to August 10, 2018.

Selbert Perkins Design (SPD) is a multidisciplinary design firm that combines branding, signage and wayfinding, public art, and sculpture to create meaningful environments that translate into positive results for our clients, while engaging the public.

In particular, Erin's made a valuable contribution to projects that required her to perform archival tasks, database entry, detailed research and accurately written reports.

While working on our projects, Erin proved to be thoughtful, energetic, personable, and fun to work with. She demonstrated a collaborative spirit and a high level of conscientiousness, staying calm and positive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. I consider Erin a person of great integrity with a strong sense of professionalism.

I would recommend Erin to any organization looking for an employee with excellent office skills and a positive working attitude. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding Erin's tenure at Seibert Perkins Design.

Sincerely,

Robin Perkins

 To whom it may concern,

I highly recommend Erin Rigby as a hire for any setting in need of a professional who can complete needed tasks, while also thinking about how the process could be improved.  She will thrive in an environment of creativity and autonomy, while also handling repetition and mundane tasks with grace.

Regardless of the project, I have relied on Erin to complete everything that I have asked her to do on time and above expectations.  She is able to see the issues with a process, and come up with a creative solution to the problem.  Her dependability and great attitude is what makes her a great colleague to have on the team.

I recommend Erin Rigby as a direct supervisor at Utah Valley University.  She will quickly become a great asset to any organization.

To whom it may concern:

I would like to give my recommendations of Erin Rigby. Erin was employed at the Stang Aquatic Center, SAC, as a lifeguard and swimming lesson teacher from February 2012 to August 2015. I worked as Erin’s peer for one year, and supervisor for two years.

Erin was always one of the most dependable employees we had on staff. In the time she worked for us, I can’t remember a time she was late, and she most definitely never missed a shift. Erin works well with others and was always willing to do whatever we needed of her. Part of Erin’s job was to communicate with parents in regards to swimming lessons. She was always very good at answering their questions and attending to what they needed.

While she was employed she was required to maintain lifeguard certification. We never had to worry about her letting her certification expires, she always stayed right on top of it.

If given the opportunity, I would certainly hire Erin to work. She is one of the most pleasant people to work with. She would fit well in most work environments.

Sincerely,

Hailie McMurdie

FOOT LOCKER SCHOLAR ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP | DECEMBER 15, 2013

To Whom it may concern:

I have known Erin Rigby for 6 years; I was in charge of her swimming lessons and was later her swimming coach. She initially got my attention as she was one of the hardest workers in her lesson group. Her eagerness to learn and do her best, earned her a spot on our swimming team. One of Erin’s finest qualities was her ability to adapt, to continually refocus and never get discouraged. At times, when she didn’t swim her best times, instead of crying and giving up, Erin would get right back to working hard at the earliest opportunity. I have always admired that quality in her.

Erin is not only dependable and organized; she is also an excellent student, as she has consistently maintained a 4.0 GPA. I don’t ever recall her missing practice because she was behind on an assignment, or needed more time to study. She was always on time, helpful, hard working, and successful in all the things I saw her put effort towards. Erin is a very smart girl with an amiable personality. She is a quiet leader, and she leads by her actions and example; she doesn’t wait to be asked to help, she sees what needs to be done or is the first one to ask if help is needed. I can’t recall a day when Erin complained. Swimming is not an easy sport; much is required of both body and mind. In addition to that, I am a very focused and exacting coach and the workouts were often very hard, yet she never complained. She simply worked hard and trusted that the work would pay off. After 33 years of coaching swimming, I’ve found that to be a very rare quality.

Erin has also volunteered in the Nibley City Youth Council, adding to her leadership and serviceable skills. I believe she is a very well-rounded individual with the ability to incorporate academics, athletics, and service in a way that would benefit herself and those around her.

I highly recommend Erin Rigby for the Foot Locker Scholar Athlete Scholarship. She is an excellent example of hard work in academics, athletics, and service, and it is my hope that you recognize these qualities in her as well.

Sincerely,
